I am searching for new interactions at the borderline between people
and their surroundings; more and more how we calibrate our humanity
with a technological world. The contemporary way of living is
becoming capsular and disjointed, laying the groundwork for immensely
dissatisfied individuals. We witness nostalgia for the retro and the
past combined with a clamouring for anything new, anything authentic
that may enrich our experience. I believe that art and integrated
design can address these issues and there is a real urgency here. Now
is a time of tremendous opportunity.
Sarah Stevens graduated in Fine Art and History of Art from Goldsmiths
University of London 2009, she is now working on a Masters in
